Womens 1st XI vs Chelmsford 4

Now this match was probably the best game romford women's have played, filled with intensity, determination and constant attack. In the first half it was already decided that we were going to apply pressure from the get go. What we wanted to improve on from last week was making the most of our possession in their attacking third which resulted in us getting a lot of short corners. Able to go 1-0 up early on in the game with Katie scoring from a practiced short corner. Not long after and another 2 short corners later we were 3-0 up thanks to Loz. One being a great hit where the defender deflected it into the roof of the net another where kemi was able to keep it in play and find loz at the top of the D for another strike. At times Chelmsford had put us under a bit of pressure with their quick wingers but the defenders were on it today especially as we had no keeper! After withstanding some attack from Chelmsford sonata made a great run down the left side passing to kemi who quickly passed it onto Katie to score.  Second half was abit more open but still a great half. Chelmsford had more possession than they did in the first half and came close to scoring before they got and scored an unlucky flick. But quickly after nice turn from Kemi and pass to

Ellie she played it nearly into sonata to score. Then in the immediate next play Katie scored a replica short corner as she did in the first half, getting her hatrick. Late in the game again we were also advantaged a flick but Steph was unlucky to score. But after a mistake from a Chelmsford defender Ellie made it 7-1 with a great sweep past the keeper.
