Dave Butcher has been a member of the club for over 40 years. In that time, he has held numerous positions on the committee and is largely known for his long stints as club chair. despite not currently playing he is a regular umpire for the club and continues to support each and every member of the club whether that be through pitch side mentoring or bar side mentoring at the clubhouse on a Saturday after the game. He has been aptly named 'Mr Romford' and as soon as anyone thinks of Romford Hockey Club, the one person they know is Dave Butcher.
